Curriciulum Development Manager

Diplomatic Language Services (DLS) is a 25-year old company based in the Washington, DC metro area that provides language and cultural training and related language services to US government and commercial clients. DLS is a fast-growing and dynamic organization offering exceptional career potential. We are currently recruiting Curriculum Development Managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage internal and client deadlines based on development schedule
•Manage a team of 2 developers
•Provide training for developers as needed
•Design language learning activities for each lesson, including OPI speaking tasks
•Assist TL (target language) experts in integrating English/TL lesson components
•Assist TL experts in ensuring quality of TL source material
•Format and edit English components of the course
•Work with client to ensure all lessons follow curriculum requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Master’s degree in ESL, linguistics, English, or related field
•At least five years of proven performance on teaching and/or curriculum development projects
•Native speaker of English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Proven ability to create student-centered activities
•Proven ability to work collaboratively on a team
•Knowledge of curriculum development theory
•Awareness of military language needs
•Exceptional creativity and high level computer skills
•Capacity to manage time to meet tight deadlines
