Workforce 360 is seeking an energetic, self-directed individual for our school and community based programs serving families and children in Northeast Ohio. Preference for this opportunity will be placed on candidates who have experience in education and school settings. The Curriculum Facilitator helps to empower individuals for success by ensuring quality and integration of program components, including: recruitment, Career readiness, life skills and leadership curriculum, and building resources to meet future goals. Essential Functions Co-facilitate R Rules curriculum with assigned high school staff. Conduct bi-weekly meetings with students on an individual basis to monitor progress and support academic success. Develop strong community support and collaborative partnerships. Maintain effective linkages with other program staff, outside agency professionals and other community organizations including program funder Ensure quality and integration of program components (implementation of R Rules/Framework for Understanding Poverty & Bridges Out of Poverty; mentoring, career exploration and community service learning projects) Conduct assessments. Based on results provide linkage, referral and resources to overcome personal and professional barriers. Also conduct follow up assessments Assist in developing and monitoring the participant's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and update as goals are achieved/not achieved. Support participants with a transition plan upon completion of specific program requirements Participate in coordinating mentoring opportunities for students. Participate in coordinating exposure trips to include, but not limited to, educational institutions, employment opportunities, museums and special events. Participate in the planning, organization and implementation of special events/department specific projects including job fairs, community fairs, community service learning projects and fundraising events Make home visits, as appropriate, to assess needs and support engagement of participants Organize and maintain written documentation for students, families, educational institutions and funders in case notes and disseminate according to program requirements Must meet the minimum outcomes per contract requirement. This will be reviewed monthly in supervision. Participate in staff training, supervisory, and staff meetings. May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes In times of need, employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor Performance Requirements Must be able to operate a computer and other position related technology Must be able to exchange information with participants and/or families in various settings regarding program plans and performance of participants Driving may also include transportation of participants Must be available for crisis management by phone and work flexible hours Maintains regular and reliable attendance Must work a minimum of 10 hours per month in part time, benefit ineligible status; a minimum of 20 hours per week in part time, benefit eligible status; and 37.5-40 hours per week in full time, benefit eligible status Physical Requirements Must be able to access homes of participants in various conditions which may including ascending/descending stairs Constantly positions self to an equal level in order to work with children of all ages Must be able to drive frequently due to work varying work environments including agency office, school based, community based locations which may include participants homes in various communities Qualifications: Minimum of 21 years of age required. Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required. Teaching Certificate preferred (may be required based on funding source). Experience with low income participants and experience with young adults preferred. Valid Ohio Driver's license, proof of auto insurance required, and safe driving record required.
